Starting in February! Deep Forest Bathing Guide Practical Skills Course Beginner 2

deepForest Bathing GuidePractical Skills Course Beginner 1 (3-month course)

Greetings from Yakushima!

This course is designed to improve practical skills and is primarily aimed at people who have qualifications related to forest bathing, or who are already active in forests or nature, or who are guiding forest bathing activities.

Many books and related textbooks cover a wide range of information and content, but even if you read them, it doesn't necessarily mean that you can actually provide a program that opens the five senses as a guide, regulates the autonomic nervous system in nature, and leads to healing. In that sense, many guides are probably groping around, wondering "Is this really the right thing to do?" through trial and error.

To meet these needs, we have designed the course to incorporate practical approaches and know-how in the forest to brush up on skills that stimulate the five senses, allowing customers to experience the benefits of the forest to the fullest.

This practical skills beginner's course will strengthen the foundation of guiding online, but it doesn't end there. For those who want to take the next step, we offer intermediate and advanced level courses where you can practice the program in the forests of Yakushima and further deepen your skills. We hope to work with you to increase your knowledge, experience, and skills as a guide. We also plan to issue Deep Forest Bathing Guide Certification to those who take the advanced course.

Some comments from participants in the previous trial course:

  • I found Makinuko's free-thinking and comments very helpful.
  • It was helpful to hear the students share what they are doing.
  • I gained an awareness of what is most important for a guide.
  • I liked how the approach to the five senses was carefully explored.
  • It was a new discovery for me to learn about the sense of wonder and that it is not just the five senses that can broaden your perceptions.

And so on.

[Recommended for these people]

  • Those who want to learn broader perspectives and approaches from instructors who are well versed in international affairs
  • People who want a place where guides can learn from each other and exchange information.
  • People who want to create a program that focuses on the five senses
  • People who have obtained qualifications as guides but are unable to take the first step or stumble when it comes to putting their skills into practice
  • People who feel unsure or unsure about the programs they provide
  • People who want to create a program that allows them to express their true selves
  • People who want to broaden their horizons as a guide
  • People who would like to experience forest bathing and forest therapy in the forests of Yakushima someday
